The incident occurred on Sunday, June 5. After 10:00 a.m., a unit of OSP Wierzbowa was dispatched to extinguish a forest fire.
Upon arriving at the scene, it turned out that a pile of branches was burning.
The firefighting operation involved OSP units from Wierzbowa, Gromadka, Różyniec and Nowa Kuźnia, JRG Bolesławiec, and an M18 Dromader aircraft from the forest air base in Lubin.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the fire.
