Mandate of late Dariusz Pawliszczy terminated; elections to be held

The Gromadka Municipality recently bid farewell to its prematurely deceased head, Dariusz Pawliszczy. On 13 May, the electoral commissioner in Jelenia Góra terminated the mandate of Gromadka’s long-serving mayor. (The decision was submitted to the Lower Silesian Voivode and the Chair of the Gromadka Municipal Council.)

What happens next?

Early elections are to be held within 90 days. Who will become the new head of the municipality remains to be seen. We will certainly return to the subject.
