Swimming classes are organized for all groups of six-year-old children and mixed groups with five-year-olds. Swimming classes are an excellent way to support children’s physical development, help them become accustomed to water, and learn to swim. The children learn to control their bodies both on and under the water.

The preschoolers were able to demonstrate the skills they had acquired at a swimming athletics event held on 17 May at Termy Bolesławiec. The competition, in which seven five-person teams representing municipal public kindergartens took part, was organized by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre and Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 4.

The enthusiastic support of parents and guardians meant that there were no losers in any event. Everyone was a winner.

The young swimmers received certificates, medals and prizes promoting an eco-friendly lifestyle. The event was held under the patronage of Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman. The prizes were funded by the Bolesławiec City Office and the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre.

A total of 280 preschoolers took part in swimming lessons during the current school year. The swimming instruction was financed with PLN 162,000 from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec.
