The 3rd Festival of Oriental Dance and Flamenco, organized by Elżbieta Eisenblaetter, owner of the Tierra Flamenco dance school, was held on Saturday, April 24. The festival was intended primarily for students of the Tierra Flamenca school, so they could perform on stage before an audience.
The women and children performing at the festival danced more than a dozen dances. These included sevillanas—a fiesta dance performed during celebrations by entire families and communities; garotin with a sombrero—a dance often telling of the beauty and qualities of a beloved; and various oriental dances.
Elżbieta Eisenblaetter’s students find relaxation, health and joy in dancing. In beautiful costumes and jewelry, they also danced at the festival for their loved ones: mothers, fathers, husbands and friends. “Some of my students have been dancing for several years,” Elżbieta Eisenbleater says proudly. “And they are wonderful dancers,” the instructor adds.
“Every woman is beautiful when she dances, because every woman is herself,” said festival host Anna Subotkowska. “All women can give themselves this pleasure and start dancing!” she encouraged the audience.
A special guest was invited to the festival: the Bolivian dance instructor Debora. The beautiful and delicate Debora arrived with her two students. The dancers performed oriental dances. The delighted audience asked for encores.
