On Saturday (24 April), BKS Bobrzanie hosted the league leaders, Twardy Świętoszów. From the opening minutes, it was clear that the Bolesławiec side wanted very much to make up for last year’s 0–2 defeat. Our team attacked and could have made it 1–0 as early as the 2nd minute. Chrystian Serkies, one-on-one with the goalkeeper, shot straight at him. In the 6th minute, the visitors responded. Sebastian Tylutki took a free kick. The ball flew over Marek Przykłota’s crossbar. In the 11th minute, Krystian Chruścicki struck powerfully from a tight angle. The ball went past the right post of the BKS goal. The visitors’ attacks paid off in the 26th minute. After a powerful shot by Daniel Szkarapat, Marek Przykłota was helpless. The visitors took a 1–0 lead.
In the 30th minute, Krzysztof Szymański played the ball from the right into the penalty area, but Chrystian Serkies failed to connect with it. Shortly afterwards, the injured Krystian Chruścicki had to leave the pitch. The player was hurt in a challenge and was taken to hospital for observation. In the 31st minute, the Świętoszów side attacked dangerously again. Marek Przykłota saved a powerful shot. Ten minutes later, Kamil Mielnik took a corner. Krzysztof Szymański rose highest to meet the ball, which struck the crossbar. Towards the end of the first half, Sebastian Tylutki had to leave the pitch. The Twardy defender was shown a red card for a brutal foul on Krzysztof Szymański. The first half ended with the visitors leading 1–0.
After the break, BKS continued to attack. Our team imposed a very fast pace. Twardy defended skillfully and neutralized our attacks around the edge of the penalty area. In the 60th minute, BKS scored the equalizer after a corner. Mateusz Mucha delivered the set piece. Krzysztof Szymański scored with a header. It might have seemed that BKS, playing with a one-man advantage, should at least draw the match. However, the visitors showed that their position at the top of the table was no accident. In the 63rd minute, following a BKS error, Łukasz Rudyk scored Świętoszów’s second goal. Towards the end of the match, the Bolesławiec players began to feel the effects of the fast-paced game. Our players were suffering from cramps. The Świętoszów side, meanwhile, continued to attack and surpassed our team technically and in speed. Only Marek Przykłota’s excellent performance prevented more goals from being scored. The visitors had several good chances. In the 87th minute, Łukasz Rudyk failed to convert an excellent one-on-one opportunity against the goalkeeper. The match ended in a 2–1 defeat for BKS. The fans saw a fast-paced, hard-fought match.
