Matura 2022 – compulsory and additional subjects

There are currently two parts: compulsory and additional. The first includes subjects such as Polish, English and mathematics. The second, in turn, includes all the subjects from the secondary-school curriculum. These include, among others, history, social studies, biology, chemistry, etc.

What is chosen depends on which university course we would like to be admitted to. In addition, each part can be taken at basic or extended level. Naturally, the compulsory matura covers the three subjects listed above at basic level. To pass it, it is necessary to obtain at least 30% in each of them.

What will help us prepare for the matura exam?

Undoubtedly, the best way to prepare for the matura exam, regardless of the level, is to listen carefully in class and take notes. Teachers always point out topics worth paying attention to and giving special consideration to when taking the matura exam. Nevertheless, how we approach it should depend on the particular subject.

With regard to the compulsory part at basic level, be sure to use study aids preparing for the Polish matura exam. There are many different publications which, on the one hand, allow us to organise the knowledge we have already acquired and, on the other, give us an opportunity to test it in practice.

A similar situation applies to the mathematics matura exam. In this case, the most important thing is to complete as many exercises as possible. This allows us to learn through practice straight away. Many professors have prepared special exercise collections to make this task easier for us.

As for English, it will be necessary to buy suitable books with a CD or in audiobook form. Three types of skills are tested here: reading, writing and listening. In the latter case, it is necessary to understand the recording played during the matura exam and, on that basis, indicate the correct answers on the answer sheet.
