The Powiatowy Special School and Educational Institutions Complex in Bolesławiec has received funding under the government’s “Happy School” programme. The money will be used to equip the common room and rehabilitation room and to build a playground. The institution was able to participate in the programme thanks to the support of Powiat Bolesławiecki (councillors decided to finance half of the playground construction costs).
– We were afraid that we would not manage to receive funding for the playground – says Zdzisława Woźniak, head of PZSiPS. – I would like to thank the County Council and the Board for supporting our application. Without the local government’s own contribution, we could have forgotten about participating in this programme.
A mini-labyrinth, a rehabilitation spinning toy, a trampoline, hammocks and graphic exercise sets are just some of the items that will be added to the county school’s facilities. The cost of equipping the rooms and building the playground is nearly PLN 134,000. Construction of the playground will begin during the summer holidays.
