On February 23, 2022, the Parents’ Council at Primary School No. 3 in Bolesławiec, represented by Katarzyna Fąfara and Sylwia Matyjewicz, together with the coordinators of the Student Council, Adrian Banyś and Agnieszka Markowicz, invited everyone willing to join the school campaign “A Heart for Julia”.
As part of the event planned for that day, the Parents’ Council organized a sale of baked goods prepared by the parents of pupils in grades I–VIII. In compliance with sanitary restrictions, the sale began at eight in the morning in the school corridor.
A pizzeria from Bolesławiec sponsored a prize in the form of one free pizza. Maciej Duda, a third-grade pupil, won the free pizza. The school thanks the restaurant for sponsoring the prize and joining the school campaign entitled “A Heart for Julia”.
The campaign organized by Primary School No. 3 raised a total of PLN 4,240.00. The money collected was paid by the Parents’ Council into the Siepomaga.pl portal account. The school also received heartfelt thanks from Julia Faltyn’s parents. In this way, the school community joined the effort to support the treatment of three-year-old Julia from Bolesławiec. The girl suffers from stage IV neuroblastoma – a very aggressive childhood cancer.
