On January 10, the first new text messages inviting people to receive a COVID-19 booster dose were sent from the Ministry of Health’s subordinate Centre for Health e-Services. Ministry of Health:
In the text messages, the ministry drew particular attention to the importance of vaccination for more than 240,000 people in connection with the spread of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus.

On January 11, starting at 9:00 a.m., the sending of 7 million text messages to people who had already received a booster dose began.
As ministry officials explain: “On the one hand, this is a message thanking people for getting vaccinated, but also asking them to encourage others to get vaccinated. (Thank you for being among those vaccinated with a booster dose. COVID-19 vaccination protects against Omicron. Encourage others to get vaccinated. More: pacjent.gov).”
“We are trying in every possible way to reach as many people as possible with information about the opportunity to get vaccinated and the extraordinary importance of this vaccination. In the context of the coming Omicron wave, the booster dose is our strongest safety buffer,” says Minister of Health Dr. Adam Niedzielski.
New text messages will be sent to everyone whose booster vaccination date is approaching, as well as to everyone who gets vaccinated with a booster dose.
