In connection with the approaching New Year's Eve and celebrations welcoming the New Year, animal rights advocates are appealing to people to refrain from using fireworks. New Year's explosions can cause severe stress in animals and, consequently, lead to long-term anxiety and pets going missing. Both domestic and wild animals are afraid of explosions.
The police have also issued an appeal concerning New Year's Eve fireworks
We appeal to everyone not to use pyrotechnics on New Year's Eve because of animals, for which the noise and explosions can cause traumatic experiences. However, if we decide to use fireworks, we must strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Czy w Sylwestra i w Nowy Rok powinien być zakaz używania fajerwerków?
