As Mr. Patryk told us Mr. Patryk:

On December 10, I took covid tests and was staying at PCK, the Bolesławiec shelter. And when the results came at 9:00 p.m., I was thrown out into the freezing cold, even though they have an isolation room there […].

I went to the emergency department and said that I had positive [na] covid results and nowhere to go because I was homeless. The person at reception told me to wait outside the door. After 10 minutes, a man came; I do not know who he was, as he did not introduce himself. He said, and I quote: “What am I supposed to do for you? We have no beds available; go into town.”

Being infected with covid, I do not know what happened that this man turned me away and I spent the night below zero in the park. It was only on Saturday evening that, with the help of the Police, I managed to arrange medical transport because my health was deteriorating due to the covid infection. My body was already giving out, and at 5:30 p.m. an ambulance came from Wałbrzych and took me to Wałbrzych, to an isolation facility.

And he appealed:

Please publicize this.

Danuta Zielińska from PCK Bolesławiec:

I confirm that after it became clear that Patryk had tested positive for coronavirus, we referred him to the Emergency Department in Bolesławiec.

And she adds:

We have neither the capacity nor the procedures to allow people infected with coronavirus to stay at our shelter. We were convinced that Mr. Patryk would receive help at the Emergency Department. Until the positive result was received, Mr. Patryk stayed in our isolation room. We acted in accordance with the procedures.
