The fire broke out at around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday night into Wednesday in the building at 12a Zygmunta Augusta Street. The fire started in one of the rooms in the basement.
The building’s residents left their apartments before the fire brigade arrived.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze. Despite the considerable smoke, the fire was not large. However, sections of the sewage system and electrical installation were damaged.
