At the end of August, Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej in Bolesławiec signed an agreement to expand the Hospital Emergency Department. The work has now begun.
What is the scope of the work?
- A prefabricated building with an area of 300 sq m will be constructed.
- The old Emergency Department building, covering 600 sq m, will be renovated.
- The ambulance shelter will be rebuilt.
What will be the result of this investment?
Above all, patient comfort will improve. Patients admitted on an emergency basis will be received in one place, with one waiting room and one triage area. This will also happen without the risk of infection with SARS-CoV-2, as four isolated areas will be created here to receive only coronavirus carriers.
As ZOZ head Kamil Barczyk emphasizes, the facility wants the waiting room to be significantly larger. This will enable the Emergency Department to receive more patients. Moreover, the waiting room itself will be adapted to the latest safety and aesthetic standards.
The total cost of the investment, including equipment, is PLN 6.5 million. We will certainly return to the subject.
