The September session of the Bolesławiec County Council is underway. Bolesławiec County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak informed the council members that “the request of the Mayor of Bolesławiec regarding improved safety at the pedestrian crossing on Komuny Paryskiej Street in Bolesławiec, near the market, was deemed justified.”
This involves installing traffic lights at this hazardous crossing. The county governor added that work on the project had begun.
Let us recall. The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday, July 27, at around 7:30 a.m., near the Manhattan market in Bolesławiec. A 47-year-old woman from Bolesławiec, driving a Volkswagen, fatally struck a 61-year-old resident of the City of Ceramics—and the woman was on the crossing.
Despite attempts at resuscitation, the woman who was struck died at the scene.
