Last Saturday (20 February), the 10th Open Inclusive Wielkopolska Swimming Championships were held in Poznań in a 25-metre pool. A seven-member team from Bolesławiec Swimming Club "Masters" won 10 medals: 2 gold, 7 silver and 1 bronze.

The swimmers who reached the top step of the podium were: Dorota Bernat (800 m freestyle) and Piotr Jeka (50 m butterfly). The silver medal winners, twice each, were: Henryk Kopaniecki (100 m individual medley, 200 m backstroke), Andrzej Daszyński (200 m and 50 m backstroke), and Marcin Klimkowski (50 m backstroke and breaststroke). Marta Satoła won silver (200 m breaststroke) and bronze (100 m individual medley). Fryderyk Popieliński did not reach the podium this time, but set a personal best in the 800 m freestyle.

More than 230 competitors from across Poland, as well as Slovakia, took part in the competition. As many as 17 Polish records in the Masters categories were broken during the championships.
