There are many former friends of the still-current mayor. Cezariusz Rudyk asks: why did he play in the mayor's entourage together with Piotr Roman in 2002, before the elections? Today he probably would not play, because they do not feel the blues in the same way. Karol Stasik lost his heart for the mayor along with his position. Krystyna Juszkiewicz has already moved out of her premises in the center, where she ran the Tourist Information Point for the city. It is possible that the Via (read: road) she chose did not foster this friendship. Ewa Zbroja disappeared from the Bolesławiec Cultural Center. In a way that was undoubtedly mysterious, but exceedingly painful, because it happened just before the inauguration of the renovated cinema and the establishment of the International Ceramics Center. And her friendship was strong! Bogusław Nowak no longer travels with the mayor through French salons, and has not done so for so long that some younger people no longer remember it.
The mayor is building a swimming pool, has put up an ice rink, illuminated the viaduct, secured parking spaces in front of the emerging shopping mall, and renovated roads and sidewalks. This year's Ceramics Festival will be historic! Things are a little worse with the candidates. They are beginning, timidly but increasingly often, to poke their heads out and preen their feathers. Still just a delicate bit of chatter, but with a certain shyness they are almost ready to make up their minds. We still do not know exactly who they are, but there are already people who know that their friend will run. And it is precisely to them that I would like to address these few words of warning…
Friends of candidates, be careful. Experience shows that your friendship will be put to the test and some of you will drop out. Some will be disappointed, and even defeated. A candidate friend is nothing like a mayor friend. Check today whether the future one pays all invoices and bills. Always and on time.
