A residential building in Łupki near Wleń caught fire on Wednesday (September 22). As reported by lwowecki.info:
On Wednesday, shortly after 1 p.m., the dispatcher at the District Command Center in Lwówek Śląski received information about a building fire in Łupki near Wleń. The caller reported that the fire had been caused by a leaking gas cylinder. Firefighters from the State Fire Service Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Lwówek Śląski and volunteer fire service units from Wleń municipality were immediately dispatched to the scene.
When the first crews arrived, dense clouds of smoke were rising above the building and flames were coming out of the windows. Despite the firefighters’ efficient efforts, the building was almost completely destroyed by fire. Whatever the flames did not consume was flooded by the firefighters.
The family of ten escaped unharmed. They now need help.
What is needed?
The school attended by the affected family’s older children has already organized assistance. Some clothing, footwear and other essential items have been collected. Therefore, clothing and footwear are no longer needed.
What is still needed are beds, bedding, a washing machine, a refrigerator, desks, a table, chairs, kitchen equipment and appliances, dishes, school supplies, toys, diapers (sizes 5 and 2), and toiletries, especially for the baby. Cleaning products of all kinds, including powders and liquids, are also needed.
