Residents of Bolesławiec—remembering the painful events, all those deported to the inhuman land, those who died in the camps, and those who managed to return to their Homeland—paid tribute and laid wreaths at the monument “In Tribute to the Polish Martyrs of Siberia and Those Murdered in Katyn and the Gulags.”
Representatives of local governments, associations and institutions, scouts, students and teachers, as well as the main figures of the ceremony—the Siberian exiles—took part in the solemn “Living Memory of Polish Siberia” gathering at the municipal cemetery in Bolesławiec.
The ceremony was organized by the Board of the Siberian Exiles Association chapter and Primary School No. 2 in Bolesławiec.
