The fifth round of the regional league competition brought BKS Bolesławiec’s senior team its fifth victory. Bolesławiec’s team retained the lead in the league table by defeating Victoria Jelenia Góra 3–1 (1–0) on Saturday (11 September) at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec.
BKS’s goals were scored by: Jakub Kowalonek, Jacek Bochnia and Adrian Kulesza. For Victoria Jelenia Góra: Jacek Bochnia (own goal).
Both teams produced an interesting spectacle, but BKS controlled the game and was more effective in the opponent’s penalty area. At the beginning, we lacked finishing and a cool head in the situations we created. The biggest regret was probably the chance in the 21st minute, when Kamil Posadowski, one-on-one, lifted the ball over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, we finally had reason to celebrate. Adrian Kulesza deceived Victoria Jelenia Góra’s defenders and made a fine pass to Jakub Kowalonek. The young BKS Bolesławiec midfielder put the ball into the net, making it 1–0 to us.
The course of the game did not change after the break, except that the visitors equalised. In the 58th minute, following a corner and some inattentiveness in our penalty area, the ball deflected off Jack Bochnia and went into Jakub Walczak’s goal. Fortunately, our boys responded to conceding in the best way possible. In the 67th minute, Victoria’s defence made a mistake in turn. Jacek Bochnia seized the ball and put BKS Bolesławiec ahead 2–1. We delivered the final blow in the 74th minute. Adrian Biały had a one-on-one chance. Unfortunately, the BKS midfielder could not beat the opposing goalkeeper, but the ball reached Adrian Kulesza, who sealed the score at 3–1 for BKS Bolesławiec with a fine shot.
BKS will play its next match away against Włókniarz Mirsk (18 September, 4:00 p.m.), while on Wednesday we face an away match in the Polish Regional Cup against Sparta Zebrzydowa (15 September, 5:00 p.m.).
