Editorial staff: Last season, BKS fought until the end for promotion to the 4th division, but it did not happen. What was missing for promotion?

Coach Sebastian Tylutki: I would not like to return to the past, although we carried out an analysis and many factors contributed to it. The most important thing is that we continue to develop as a club. From September, we will implement a new operating plan for Our Academy, which we will want to expand further.

A new season lies ahead for the senior team. How does the Coach assess the preparations and friendly matches?

We are optimistic about the upcoming season. We devoted a lot of work to changing our organization of play; we will play in 2–3 systems depending on the situation on the pitch. The most important thing is for the players to enjoy the game and help one another both on and off the pitch.

Are there any new signings? Who has joined the senior team, and who has said goodbye to the squad?

I think we now have a better team than last season—more diverse and hungry for success. Three first-team regulars have left us, but very valuable juniors have joined the first-team squad, Mateusz Olesiński has returned from loan, and of course we have high hopes for Marcin Krasicki and Maciej Szewczyk, who, despite offers from higher divisions, were persuaded by our vision for the club and the operation of the first team.

Opinions are circulating in football circles that the regional league in which BKS plays is currently stronger and more difficult than last season. Do you agree with this opinion, Coach?

The league will certainly be more evenly matched; it seems there will be no weak teams. The matches will be very hard-fought and exciting, which will benefit both the players and the fans.

What is the goal for the new season?

The team’s goal is to play every match for three points and give 100% in matches and training, but for me the most important thing is for the players to represent the club colors with dignity on and off the pitch. They should respect one another and help one another in various situations.

If someone promised to grant three wishes concerning BKS, what would your wishes be, Coach?

  1. Football infrastructure—a full-size pitch—that would allow the Academy and the first team to train all year round
  2. That the people who only criticize our club would understand that everyone at BKS does enormous and time-consuming work, often at the expense of family life, so that the Academy (7 teams, approximately 140 children), the first and second teams can operate on healthy principles.
  3. Sport, and football at youth level, develops people in various ways and prepares them for life (community, problem-solving, interpersonal relationships, etc.) and connects young players to our beautiful city. I would like the city authorities to understand this to a greater extent.

Thank you for the opportunity to conduct this interview, and we wish you success in achieving your intended goals.

Thank you.
