The fire broke out before midnight on 12 August. Flames appeared in one of the garages on Gdańska Street in Bolesławiec, near the Manufaktura factory.
The garage where the fire started was part of a row of garages. The fire could be seen from a distance, and the flames were enormous. People reporting the fire reportedly heard explosions accompanying it. The firefighters who arrived at the scene quickly brought the fire under control.
