– A customs and tax inspection concerning corporate income tax for 2017 found that a company with German capital had understated its tax base by over PLN 60 million. The company operates within a group of affiliated companies. As a result of these connections, the company paid German companies inflated fees for licenses for the production process and for transferring production to Poland. In this way, it understated the tax due to the Polish state budget to the benefit of German tax revenue – says Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, spokesperson for the Lower Silesian KAS.

As a result of the inspection, the company corrected its tax returns. The company paid over PLN 27 million in tax arrears.

The case was handled by the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław.
