In the 26th-round match of the Jelenia Góra district league, played in 34-degree heat, BKS defeated Victoria Ruszów 3–2 (2–2) at Spółdzielcza.

The goals for Bolesławiec were scored by Adrian Kulesza, Adrian Puzio and Oskar Pochwała. Bohdan Bozhenko scored both goals for Ruszów.

The match was played in intense heat, which had a significant impact on its course. The game began with a minute of silence in honour of the late coach Henryk Kusojć. Victoria Ruszów took the lead in the 4th minute after a goal by Bohdan Bozhenko, and coach Sebastian Tylutki’s players had to chase the score. They succeeded in the 20th minute. Kamil Skiba made a fine appearance on the right and supplied Adrian Kulesza with a good pass. Kaczor put the ball into the net, making it 1–1. Five minutes later, after Adrian Puzio converted a penalty well, we took a 2–1 lead and it seemed that we had the match under control. Unfortunately, our players relaxed too much, and in the 33rd minute we allowed the equaliser to make it 2–2. Bohdan Bozhenko was on the scoresheet again. The score remained unchanged until half-time.

The picture of the game did not really change after the break. Our players searched for the winning goal, while the ambitious visitors not only defended well but also made several dangerous attacks on our goal. When it seemed that the match would end with the points shared, the 90th minute brought a situation that decided the final result. Dawid Kowalonek delivered a fine cross from the left into the penalty area, and Oskar Pochwała rose highest to head the ball into the net, sealing BKS’s 3–2 victory. It is worth noting that Oskar was celebrating his birthday that day and, as it turns out, he not only likes receiving presents but also giving them.

Saturday’s match was the last one at Spółdzielcza this season. Our players now face a difficult away trip to Zgorzelec to play the local Nysa, a match that will determine the final positions in the KEEZA District League table.
