On May 26, a reader called us. The reader had arrived by bicycle at the Bolesławiec County Office because they wanted to take care of some business at the Communications Department:
I locked my bicycle to the grate. Some female clerk did not like it, tipped off the security guard, and he chased me away.
The reader added:
Despite all the talk about ecology, there is no bicycle rack there. Can’t they afford a rack? Surely it wouldn’t cost that much?
The reader knows that there are racks on the parking-lot side, but believes there should also be some by the entrance to the Communications Department.
The county authorities do not share the complainant’s view. Why? The bicycle racks already standing at the office are hardly used. If, however, customers begin arriving at the county office by bicycle more often, officials will consider installing additional racks.
