More than half of young adults say that they feel bad in their country, and this fact requires careful interpretation. It is worth checking the extent to which the results of this survey were influenced by emotions connected with a particular moment—the poll was conducted at the end of November 2020, a month after the announcement of the Constitutional Tribunal ruling by Julia Przyłębska that tightened abortion law. Protests in defense of women’s rights broke out across the country in response, engaging young people in particular. Did they take to the streets only over this specific issue, or did they treat it as the final straw and a signal to rebel against the “dziaders”—people who want to arrange the world according to values and compromises incomprehensible to young people?
