The Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej in Bolesławiec has one of the best-equipped Diagnostic Imaging Departments in the region, based on modern, highly sensitive equipment that guarantees precise results when scanning and X-raying the human body in many planes.
ZOZ:
Magnetic resonance imaging is intended for imaging the entire body. Recently, the range of examinations was expanded to include breast MRI. This is a highly specialized examination performed after ultrasound, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging and biopsy in order to conduct in-depth diagnostics.
Magnetic resonance imaging is an invaluable tool for rapidly diagnosing neurological conditions, such as all types of stroke-related changes. The examination provides a highly precise result. MRI is excellent for analyzing changes in the spine and all conditions affecting the joints, including degenerative changes throughout the skeleton.
And adds:
Computed tomography is an examination of the entire body. Combined with an MRI scan, it provides a complete picture of the patient’s health. CT is most often used when a patient is admitted to the Emergency Department, when a rapid diagnosis is required to undertake emergency procedures.
The Ultrasound Department offers a full range of services. Organs in the abdominal cavity and neck area, salivary glands and lymph nodes are imaged, and Doppler examinations are performed to analyze venous blood flow. Diagnostics of the joints, also using ultrasound, will soon be available.
The Department is equipped with modern X-ray machines, including one stationary and three mobile units. The hospital says: “An X-ray densitometer with the option of scanning the spine, hips, femurs, forearms and hands is reliable in diagnosing osteoporosis and monitoring treatment progress. The examination makes it possible to assess the risk of a femoral neck fracture over a 10-year perspective.”
