It seems no one remembers cherry prices this high. In mid-May, a kilogram of imported fruit cost as much as PLN 163. Prices have now fallen, and a kilogram costs around PLN 80. Nevertheless, the price remains very high. A year ago, cherry prices ranged from PLN 25 to PLN 60 per kilogram.

Why is it so expensive?

According to growers and sellers, the frosts and the cool spring so far are to blame. There are expected to be few fruits, hence the prices. Some also argue that high inflation and the general trend of raising fruit and vegetable prices are influencing this price level.
