BKS Bolesławiec:
It is with deep sadness that we received the news of the death of Mr Józef Kawałko, a longtime BKS Bolesławiec player and coach. On behalf of the entire Board, players and supporters, President Michał Lis extends his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.
Mr Józef Kawałko began his football career as a goalkeeper for BKS Bolesławiec and, as a junior, represented Lower Silesia. In later years, he represented the II-league URSUS Warszawa and III-league Bug Wyszków. As a coach, he managed Bug Wyszków and Wigry Suwałki, and worked with Janusz Wójcik on the Polish Olympic team and the United Arab Emirates national team.
