On Saturday (24 April), younger and older scouts from Hufiec ZHP Bolesławiec im. Szarych Szeregów took part in the Scout Orienteering Runs. The runs were held on four courses in total: three basic-level courses (in pairs) and one advanced course (individually), using a modified map with major obstacles. The weather on Saturday was favorable, putting everyone in a good mood even before the start.
The competition was fierce, and the results—particularly among the older scouts on the advanced course—were almost identical. However, reaching the finish line a minute or two before the other participants could tip the balance of victory—and three days later, the leading competitors were officially honored and rewarded with decorative compasses, survival kits, and camping stoves. The podium was as follows:
Basic level:
- First place: Poszukiwacze patrol from the Kedyw team
- Second place: Delta patrol from the Kedyw team
- Third place: Poszukiwacze Szyszek patrol from the Orły team
Advanced level, women’s classification:
- First place: Julia Mozgwa from the Grot team
- Second place: Zuzanna Boryczewska from the Grot team
- Third place: Lena Zamorska from the Czarni team
Advanced level, men’s classification:
- First place: Kacper Lis from the Czarni team
- Second place: Piotr Mazur from the Baszta team
- Third place: Jakub Szewczyk from the Kedyw team
The runs were organized by the “Szwadron” Instructors’ Circle with financial support from the Municipality of Bolesławiec.
