The District Centre for Education and Staff Training in Bolesławiec and Primary School No. 2 organised the final of the 8th District Physics Competition on 14 April 2021. The school stage, held on 10 February, selected 12 finalists. The finalists tackled problem-solving and calculation tasks, completed an interactive computer test and conducted a physics experiment aimed at confirming a hypothesis concerning the principle of inertia.
In this year’s edition, the competition committee selected 5 winners. They took the following places:
- Damian Kowalski – Public Primary School of the Piarist Order in Bolesławiec
- Filip Sygut – Primary School in Parowa
- Michał Bonk – Primary School No. 4 in Bolesławiec
- Wojciech Kijanka – Primary School No. 4 in Bolesławiec
- Paweł Surus – Primary School No. 5 in Bolesławiec
The competition, intended for primary-school pupils (previously lower-secondary-school students), has become firmly established in the awareness of teachers and pupils in Bolesławiec County. It is popular because of its substantial academic value and attractive format, especially in Stage II—the district final. It enables pupils to improve their knowledge and skills and supports their development. It is an innovative competition. In the 2020/2021 school year, the competition received the honorary patronage of the Lower Silesian School Superintendent.
We sincerely congratulate the winners and wish them further success.
