– During routine inspections carried out from January to March 2021, officers of the Lower Silesian National Revenue Administration seized 96 packages containing illegal goods. They discovered 338 kg of smoking tobacco without Polish excise stamps, worth a total of over PLN 250,000 – reports Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, spokesperson for the Lower Silesian KAS.
She adds:
The officers are assisted in detecting illegal tobacco shipments by service dogs Shila and Dracarys, German Shepherds.
KAS: “Trading in tobacco and tobacco products without Polish excise stamps is illegal. People attempting to put illegal tobacco into circulation must expect criminal and fiscal-criminal liability.”
