– During a routine inspection on the A4 motorway, KAS detected a transport of illegal waste. The 156 bags contained unsorted used clothing. The Polish recipient of the goods did not have the required permit to process waste and was unable to recover or dispose of it in compliance with regulations – reports Sebastian Polański from the Lower Silesian KAS. – The Voivodeship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection deemed the transport illegal.
The carrier faces a fine of PLN 13,000, while the recipient of the goods may be fined up to PLN 500,000.
