On March 5 in Nowogrodziec, Mayor Robert Relich signed a declaration of cooperation with Deputy Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Marcin Krzyżanowski in support of the prevention and early detection of malignant tumors of the lower gastrointestinal tract.

Residents will be able to collect the tests at the Gminna Przychodnia in Nowogrodziec, 55 Asnyka Street. The test is performed independently at home. The sample should be returned together with the completed questionnaire. The sample is then sent to the Lower Silesian Oncology Center in Wrocław, where it is analyzed.

Fecal occult blood tests enable a quick and painless examination that provides information about possible changes in the large intestine. The tests are the first stage in diagnosing colorectal cancer. If the result is positive, the patient undergoes a further, more precise examination. In addition to free tests, the program guarantees patients comprehensive oncological care at the Lower Silesian Oncology Center.
