The fire broke out after 8:00 p.m. in a building at 24 Kościuszki Street in Bolesławiec, near the ceramics shops. Soot caught fire in one of the chimneys. Fire was coming through a grate into one of the rooms. The residents of the tenement building—five adults and two children—managed to evacuate.
The fire looked serious, but fortunately the firefighters brought it under control quickly. They had to cut out part of the wooden floor and the drywall structure.
The fire is now being extinguished and the chimney is being cooled.
