A tragic accident occurred on Monday, January 4, before 1:00 p.m. in Czerwona Woda (Zgorzelec County). Driving conditions were difficult on the roads that day. It was slippery, and fog limited visibility.
The driver of a Fiat, an 87-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County, failed to yield the right of way to a truck driven by a 35-year-old man from Kłodzko County. A collision occurred. As a result of his injuries, the car driver, who suffered serious injuries, was taken to hospital, where he died.
The incident was recorded by nearby surveillance cameras belonging to DP Energia Czerwona Woda. The footage shows the car driver, leaving a minor road, letting another car coming from the right pass. He then moved off without yielding the right of way to the truck driver coming from the left.
