On Sunday, an exhibition opening and the presentation of awards to the winners of the Gliniada 2009 photography competition were held at the Concordia gallery. From the thirty photographs selected by the jury, readers of the IstotneInformacje.pl portal chose three. The most votes went to Justyna Mucha’s photograph “Courage” (500-złoty prize). In our editorial team’s opinion, it was the best photograph submitted to the competition.
Second place went to Piotr Kaziow’s photograph titled “Ujarzmiona delikatność” (300-złoty prize). Robert Dudek received the third-place award for the photograph titled “Radzio” (200-złoty prize).
The jury awarded the special prize to Małgorzata Głowacka for the photograph “Jarzębinka” (400-złoty prize).
The exhibition opening began with a pantomime improvisation performed by the Glinoludy. After the awards ceremony, the exhibition guests watched a several-dozen-minute etude by Jan Sumikowski, who documented the activities of the Glinoludy.
The competition entries were printed with funding from the Starostwo Powiatowe, members of Via Sudetica prepared the artistic programme, and the IstotneInformacje.pl portal and newspaper served as the event’s media patron for the last time.
