The project of the Municipal Centre for Environmental Education was developed with the intention of carrying it out in spring 2020. All planned activities were to take place from March to May 2020. Just before the first workshops were due to begin, the closure of schools and preschools was announced, necessitating an update to the project schedule.

After students returned to school, most of the planned workshops and field trips were carried out. Nearly 800 students and preschoolers, as well as almost 80 teachers, participated in six different activities making up the project as a whole. A total of 39 workshops and field trips were held, lasting 114 teaching hours altogether.

As part of the “Ecology? Naturally!” project, the following activities were carried out:

  • Multisensory education for preschoolers – trips to the “Głuszec” forester’s lodge in Borówki
  • A beaver welcome to autumn – an educational and recreational event for preschoolers
  • The forest closer to us – forest education workshops for third-grade students and a knowledge competition of the same name for class representatives
  • Nature in the city – field workshops for fourth-grade students
  • Eco-ceramic heritage – trips by seventh-grade students to the “Ekoceramika” mine in Suszki.

The project was co-financed by the resources of the Wrocław Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The total project value was PLN 30,221. The amount of funding was PLN 15,760.
