Many industrial structures are built using this technology. GOLDBECK Comfort currently supplies, for example, concrete prefabricated elements for the construction of a factory belonging to the American electric-car manufacturer Tesla, which is being built near Berlin. Concrete prefabricated elements are also increasingly used in residential construction. In response to market needs, GOLDBECK has developed the GOLDBECK System for constructing prefabricated residential buildings. It allows considerable freedom in shaping the structures and, thanks to standardisation, guarantees low construction costs. In this system, buildings have a transverse arrangement of load-bearing walls 21 cm thick (a major advantage is the good acoustics in the building). The 14-cm-thick external walls have window frames installed in them. Stairwells and lift shafts are standardised. All elements are characterised by a very high quality of finish.
Prefabricated bathrooms are an important element of the system. It is worth emphasising that social housing in Germany assumes that these rooms will be fully finished, and this is how they are produced by GOLDBECK Comfort. Completely finished prefabricated bathrooms make it possible to significantly reduce work on the construction site. We have designed three versions of bathrooms adapted to different apartment sizes. For each type, we have provided several finishing options.
Completely finished bathrooms, properly secured for transport, are “inserted” into the building before the ceiling is installed and are “unpacked” only during the finishing stage of the structure. It is worth emphasising that for several years we have been producing unfinished bathroom “shells” for a Danish company. They are subsequently finished by that company and delivered to construction sites for hotels and student residences across Scandinavia.
Completely finished prefabricated bathrooms for residential buildings are GOLDBECK’s idea for the years ahead. Since September this year, we have been producing two bathrooms per day; from January 2021, there will be six, and in 2022 we plan to produce as many as 10.
Developing our own system for constructing buildings from prefabricated concrete elements involved nearly two years of research and searching for solutions by a team of several people. The first projects confirm that the system works in practice. We currently deliver ready-made bathroom modules and prefabricated wall elements to the construction site of the Berlin-Rauchstraße residential development (RG Nordost), with a total residential area of 4,500 m2. The GOLDBECK System will also be used in the construction of: Harthof in Munich, where 198 apartments with a total area of approximately 11,000 m2 will be built; DIBAG in Berlin, with 222 apartments covering approximately 13,000 m2; and Telemedia Wetter in Hesse, with 22 apartments and a residential area of 1,200 m2.
GOLDBECK COMFORT has two production plants in Poland: one in Rakowice Małe near Lwówek Śl. and the other in Toruń.
