After Wednesday’s 3–0 defeat to Lechia Dzierżoniów, BKS faced Ślęza II Wrocław, who were bottom of the IV-league table, on Saturday (31 October). Our team dominated the field from the opening minutes. First, returning after an injury, Marek Kumoś took a first-time shot at the visitors’ goal. Then Mateusz Mucha tried to surprise the visiting goalkeeper with a free kick. Unfortunately, both Kumoś’s and Mucha’s shots were blocked by the defenders. In the 11th minute, Chrystian Serkies shot straight at the goalkeeper. Two minutes later, Adam Popecki laid the ball off to Tomasz Jasiński, but the latter sent it high over the crossbar.

The visitors had their first good chance to score only in the 25th minute. Marek Jaworski and Rafał Fornal tried to surprise Dawid Kizyma. The latter missed the goal from 7 metres. Bolesławiec responded to the visitors’ attacks in the 27th minute with a powerful shot by Marek Kumoś. Unfortunately, the ball flew just over the crossbar of the Wrocław side’s goal. In the 34th minute, Chrystian Serkies found himself with another chance to score. The BKS striker headed the ball, but the visiting goalkeeper, Maciej Zdrojewski, managed to save the shot heading for the net. A minute before half-time, the visitors attacked once again. After a quick counterattack, Radosław Wiaderkiewicz shot into the side netting of Kizyma’s goal.

After the break, BKS quickly took the lead. In the 50th minute, Chrystian Serkies was fouled in the penalty area. Mateusz Mucha converted the penalty. The Bolesławiec side decided to “press their advantage” and extend their lead. Their efforts paid off 13 minutes later. Mateusz Janczyszyn capitalised on a defender’s mistake as he tried to pass to his goalkeeper. The BKS player intercepted the ball, making it 2–0. The score did not change again. Our players attacked, but lacked finishing. The visitors also created several dangerous chances late on. First, Wiaderkiewicz shot just wide. In the final minutes, Daniel Góralewski cleared the ball off the BKS goal line. BKS Bobrzanie defeated Ślęza II Wrocław 2–0. After 14 rounds, the Bolesławiec side have 19 points and sit ninth in the table.

BKS played with: Kizyma – Demczar, Halkowicz, Klimas, Kumoś (75' Bednarz), Janczyszyn (85' Góralewski), Jasiński (70' Nitarski), Mucha, Mielnik, Popecki (81' Janicki), Serkies.

Despite Saturday’s victory, BKS still are not showing the form expected by their supporters. The team play chaotically and lack finishing in the chances they create. The defence performed somewhat better than before. The victory over Ślęza is encouraging, but it is worth noting that the visitors’ team consisted almost entirely of juniors. The upcoming derby against Chrobry Nowogrodziec will be a true test of their abilities. BKS will play this match on Sunday (8 November) in Nowogrodziec. Kick-off is scheduled for 13:00.
