Saturday’s victory was extremely important for our team, as after two league defeats we needed to break the bad run. In the match against Hutnik Pieńsk, we were the better side and deservedly claimed three points. The match began evenly, with both teams entrenched in their own halves and few chances being created. As time passed, BKS Bolesławiec’s advantage grew, and the result was not long in coming. In the 28th minute, Piotr Kuczyński made a good run down the right and crossed the ball into Hutnik’s penalty area. Jacek Bochnia was perfectly positioned there and, with a powerful shot, gave the home goalkeeper no chance, making it 1–0 for BKS Bolesławiec.
The goal conceded lifted the ambitious home side, who set about reducing the deficit. On several occasions, Hutnik Pieńsk players reached the vicinity of our goal, but Jakub Walczak dealt with the danger confidently each time. The score was therefore 1–0 for our team at half-time.
After the break, BKS Bolesławiec took complete control and, in the 55th minute, we celebrated a second goal. Michał Kapusz scored with a beautiful free-kick. As if that were not enough, a minute later Jacek Bochnia produced an excellent assist, and Adrian Kulesza scored BKS’s third goal in a one-on-one situation.
The score did not change until the final whistle, although there were opportunities to add to it. In the 65th minute, Kamil Posadowski had an excellent chance, but the ball struck the home team’s crossbar. Ultimately, we won 3–0 in Pieńsk, and the three points went to Bolesławiec. Our team’s next match will be at home against Czarni Lwówek Śląski.
