Leśnik Osiecznica made an excellent start to the season in the Lower Silesian IV league. The team from Bolesławiec County, playing its first season at this level, has lost only once in six matches so far, drawn twice and taken all three points on three occasions. In Saturday’s sixth-round match in the IV league, they defeated Orkan Szczedrzykowice 1–0 (0–0).
The winning goal was scored in the 75th minute by Marek Chmielowski. The goal came from a set piece. The Leśnik player surprised the visiting goalkeeper with a precise shot from around 25 metres.
After Saturday’s victory, Radosław Szajwaj’s team occupies third place in the league table.
