In the second-round match of the third group of Class A, Górnik Węgliniec defeated the local GKS 2–1 (1–1) in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. In Węgliniec, nobody hides the fact that the team has set promotion to the district league as its goal.
In Saturday’s match in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki, the visitors had the territorial advantage and more scoring opportunities from the very beginning, but their finishing let them down. In the first half, Konrad Nowak opened the scoring for Węgliniec with a shot from 20 metres.
Before the break, Mateusz Wołoszyn took advantage of a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper and lobbed the Węgliniec goalkeeper to equalise. However, the final word in the match belonged to the visitors. Kuba Trela set the final score in the second half.
