In the second-round match of the regional league competition, BKS Bolesławiec defeated local side Olimpia 3–0 (1–0) in Kamienna Góra.

The goals for the Bolesławiec team were scored by Kamil Posadowski, Filip Zagórski and Mateusz Medyński.

Saturday’s victory was fully deserved, and our boys would have won by an even greater margin if they had improved their finishing. In the first half, we threatened the hosts’ goal several times. Adrian Puzio had a few good long-range efforts, but the Olimpia Kamienna Góra goalkeeper came out on top. The ambitious hosts tried to respond, but our team’s well-organised defensive block neutralised every threat.

When it seemed that the score would remain goalless until half-time, in the 45th minute we launched an attack that gave us the lead. Marek Majka found himself in a good position, but the Olimpia goalkeeper saved his shot. However, Kamil Posadowski reached the ball after a defensive error and, with a close-range shot, gave us the eagerly awaited lead.

Olimpia Kamienna Góra started the second half better. The hosts made several dangerous incursions into Dawid Kizyma’s penalty area. Fortunately, we managed to neutralise the hosts’ initial surge and quickly returned to our style of play. We had many chances to extend our lead, but each time we lacked the finishing touch. If Marek Majka had been more accurate, we could have ended the match quickly.

In the 74th minute, however, we were able to breathe a sigh of relief. The ball reached Filip Zagórski, who was positioned outside the penalty area. He unleashed a powerful shot without hesitation and placed the ball right by the post of the Olimpia Kamienna Góra goal. It was 2–0. The conceded goal deflated the courageous hosts, and our boys had more space for attacks. In the 84th minute, Jakub Kwoczka reached a well-delivered cross from the right, but unfortunately miscued it. The ball fell to Mateusz Medyński, who had no trouble scoring and set the final score at 3–0.

BKS Bolesławiec will play its next match on Wednesday (19 August). As part of the regional Polish Cup, Bolesławiec will face KS Kotliska away. The league match will be played next Saturday (22 August) against Woskar Szklarska Poręba at Spółdzielcza.
