The incident occurred at around 12:30 on the eastern bypass of Bolesławiec, at the Wincenty Witos Roundabout. A Ford Focus hit a safety barrier at the roundabout between Bolesławiec and Łaziska. One person was injured.
The driver of the Ford, a 46-year-old from Bolesławiec, left the roundabout, knocked down a road sign, drove across the median and hit the barriers in the opposite lane. It is already known that he was drunk. He had more than 3‰ of alcohol in his system.
Emergency services were at the scene. The bypass toward Lwówek was temporarily blocked.
