The accident occurred on July 18, a Saturday, at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Garncarska Street. The 21-year-old woman driving a VW Polo, from the Nowogrodziec municipality, stopped before the crossing to let a pedestrian cross—a 61-year-old woman from Bolesławiec. As the pedestrian was crossing, the VW Polo was hit by a VW Passat driven by a 31-year-old man from Bolesławiec County. The drivers were sober, and the pedestrian, who had suffered a thigh injury, was taken to hospital. As the police spokesperson reports, proceedings are underway to establish the circumstances of the accident.
