In May 2017, Krzysztof Rutkowski began investigating the case of a 27-year-old Polish woman from Zgorzelec at an Egyptian resort. Maja Rutkowski took part in the activities in Egypt. Maja will tell us about the behind-the-scenes details of the case and what her work is like. We will also ask her about the current cases she and her husband are handling at the Rutkowski Office. In the new episode published on YT, you will see the Rutkowski Office’s actions against fortune tellers who extorted large sums of money; there are many such scams in Poland.
Maja Rutkowski:
Hate no longer affects me. I am resilient. People do not have lives of their own; jealousy consumes them, and we should feel sorry for them.
I am still in contact with Asia (Kacperek’s mother). I support her all the time. I think I will visit them in a week or two.
I do not believe in fraudulent fortune tellers. Fortune tellers usually say what we want to hear.
Fortune tellers can cause harm. One of them called Asia and told her that Kacperek was alive. That is a horror for a mother.
Fortune tellers often take advantage of moments of weakness and mental breakdown, making substantial profits.
Human emotions move me. I am sensitive and responsive to such situations. I am not ashamed of my tears.
We handed the case of the fraudulent fortune tellers over to the police.
Above all, you have to be human. Sometimes a conversation is enough. Sometimes people need you to hug them, take them in your arms and talk to them.
The mothers I have helped call me their angel.
I have been a detective for eight years. I have brought many girls back from Arab countries.
We took on Magda Żuk’s case when Magda was already dead. People were afraid to fly to Egypt. I went there.
Mistakes were made. Magda should have been provided with medical transport to Poland. Then she would have lived.
I was there for one day as an anonymous person. I listened to conversations and recorded them. I spoke with the representative. The situation was completely different from what the media in Poland reported.
I saw how that girl lived there. I met those people. The atmosphere at the hotel was like that of a sanatorium.
Sometimes women are more respected in Arab countries than in Poland.
I have done many things in my life. I was not afraid of anything.
I studied, worked as a model and photographic model, and ran an event agency.
You must not give up in life.
