On Thursday, September 3, the 56th Orlik in Lower Silesia was opened in Osiecznica. The ceremony was opened by commune head Waldemar Nalazek. Next, speeches were delivered by Lower Silesian Voivode Rafał Jurkowlaniec, Lower Silesian Voivodeship Assembly chairman Jerzy Pokój and county head Cezary Przybylski.
The ceremonial ribbon-cutting was performed by Rafał Jurkowlaniec, Jerzy Pokój, Cezary Przybylski, Waldemar Nalazek, Municipal Council chairwoman Wanda Abram and director of the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre Monika Kumosz. The newly built facility was blessed by parish priest Tadeusz Stelmach.
The next item on the programme was the first shots at goal. The guests then watched an artistic performance by students of the School Complex in Osiecznica.
The ceremony ended with a football match between the Eagles and Falcons teams.
