“Preparations for the postal election are under way,” Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin said on Rozmowa Piaseckiego on TVN24.

Minister Sasin stressed that he was “one hundred percent” certain that the postal election could be held on the originally scheduled date, May 10:

Indeed, these preparations are already under way. Not as a result of my decisions. This is happening primarily on the basis of the decision by the Marshal of the Sejm, who scheduled the presidential election for May 10 in accordance with the Constitution, and on the basis of the prime minister’s decision issued under the anti-COVID law, which ordered state-owned companies such as the Polish Security Printing Works and Poczta Polska to prepare for the election so that it could be held by postal ballot.
