On Saturday, Bolesławiec hosted Miedź Legnica's second team. Our players wanted to make amends after the humiliating defeat in Raciborowice. The match began very promisingly for BKS. In the 3rd minute, following Mateusz Janczyszyn's cross, Kamil Mielnik sent the ball into the Legnica goal. In the 10th minute, it should have been 2:0. Unfortunately, Adam Popecki, one-on-one with the goalkeeper, shot straight at him. Until the 28th minute, BKS had a crushing advantage. The popular Miedzianka had no answer. Bolesławiec played quick football, while the visitors struggled in possession and, in fact, were unable to bring the ball out of their own half. Every set piece taken by BKS posed a threat to the Legnica goal.
Miedź did not register its first shot on the Bolesławiec goal until the 29th minute. Dawid Kizyma saved Chrystian Serkies's effort. In the 33rd minute, BKS were already 2:0 up. Kamil Mielnik scored again after an individual run. Unfortunately, in the 42nd minute the visitors pulled one back. Sebastian Przybyłko got his name on the scoresheet.Sebastian Przybyłko.
In the second half, Bolesławiec's play looked completely different from the first half. Conceding a goal took the wind out of our players' sails. The visitors began to play more aggressively. In the 52nd minute, Miedź equalised. The goal was scored by Chrystian Serkies, well known to the people of Bolesławiec.Chrystian Serkies. The Legnica side did not slow down and created further dangerous chances. Their advantage was confirmed by a third goal. In the 67th minute, Piotr Dzięgleski put the visitors 3:2 ahead. BKS had several chances to equalise. In the 67th minute, Adam Klimas narrowly missed. In the 83rd minute, Adam Popecki came close. Unfortunately, his effort also missed the target. The visitors responded with a wayward shot from Kamil Zieliński. BKS lost 2:3 to Miedź Legnica's reserve team.
BKS's lineup: Kizyma – Demczar, Halkowicz, Bednarz, Rajchel (46' Rydzak), Klimas, Janczyszyn (60' Rissmann), Jasiński (64' Mucha), Mielnik, Popecki, Kunz.
There will be a new coach
After the defeat, the board of the Bolesławiec club decided to dismiss coach Krzysztof Lechowski. The reason for the board's decision was the team's poor performance in recent matches: a draw and a defeat in league competition, as well as a defeat in the cup competition.
The club is already in talks with a candidate for the new coach. As IstotneInformacje.pl has learned, the coach who is expected to take charge of the Bolesławiec side worked at Zagłębie Lubin. The BKS board does not want to reveal any more details for now about the person with whom it is holding talks. Until a new coach is hired, the BKS team will be managed by Marek Przykłota.
Krzysztof Lechowski was BKS Bobrzanie's coach from May 2008 to August 2009. At the end of May 2008, the team won the regional Polish Cup by defeating Karkonosze Jelenia Góra 3:0 in the final. The team finished the 2008/2009 season in 8th place.
