At a brief press conference, three members of Platforma Obywatelska—Piotr Borys, Grzegorz Schetyna and Michał Jaros—encouraged the people of Bolesławiec to vote for Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska in the May presidential election.
“We would like to warmly thank the residents of the city and county for their help in collecting signatures of support for Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska,” said Piotr Borys. “The next stage of the campaign lies ahead. We invite all interested residents to join Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska’s honorary support committee.
Grzegorz Schetyna said that in the next stage of the campaign, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska’s program and vision of the presidency would be presented as often as possible.
“We are counting on Bolesławiec and its residents,” the member of parliament said. “They have never let us down, and we are sure that Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska will achieve a good result here.”
Urszula Magryś emphasized the need for women to have an equal role in the Polish state and invited the people of Bolesławiec to Zofia Czernow’s parliamentary office at 6d Bankowa Street. At the MP’s office, support for the Kidawa 2020 campaign can be declared every Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., including by making fences or balconies available for banners.
“I am a member of Platforma Obywatelska and I want to assure you that Platforma is still active in Bolesławiec,” assured Urszula Magryś. “Women in Poland must feel safe and must know that they are equal citizens to men. All the women in Bolesławiec who supported us while we were collecting signatures will finally have their representative in the Presidential Palace!” added the PO member.
Member of Parliament Michał Jaros also emphasized that Kidawa-Błońska is the only woman among the candidates and that he hopes many women will vote for their candidate. He also appealed for engagement and support.
“Everyone can join the campaign headquarters; it is an open and civic headquarters. We are counting on you and believe that we can win this election,” said Michał Jaros.
